We are thrilled to announce the release of our improved vendor allocation logic for more efficient delivery trips, which helps our users prioritise vendors more exhaustively and comprehensively.

Manufacturing and Retail organisations generally have multiple vendors for their logistics transportation requirements. In manually-managed scenarios and with legacy transport management systems, organisations have to check and compare vendor-level costs manually and allocate orders accordingly.

Earlier, the vendor allocation was based on static priority criteria defined by our users in the vendor allocation module, which limited vendor optimisation based on specific business parameters. This leads to inefficient logistics transportation, ultimately amounting to higher costs, low asset utilisation, and SLA breaches. Shipsy offers a highly comprehensive and intelligent vendor allocation module that comes with an intuitive indent management system where users can share trip details with vendors in an automated manner, digitise vendor rate contracts, and allocate consignments/trips in a completely automatic manner.

The vendor allocation module is extremely intuitive and comprehensive. It allows the users to prioritise vendors and dedicated vehicles automatically based on multiple constraints, such as consignment characteristics, delivery location, pickup/drop-off points, etc. Further, the Vendor Rate Contracts enable the users to book FTL (full truck load) and PTL (partial truck load) trips with the same or different vendor in an easy manner, which allows them to form more profitable partnerships and reduce the overall transportation costs.
