Overview:

A recurring issue has been identified where riders breach the geofence but are still able to mark deliveries as undelivered by using the "SKIP" option. This bypass hinders the generation of accurate data analysis reports, particularly those focused on geofence breaches. Such reports are vital for tracking breach percentages and making data-driven decisions for operational improvements.

Feature Enhancement:

Unifying the Flow for Pickup and Delivery Geofence Failures to address this issue, it is essential to create a unified flow for managing both delivery and pickup geofence failures, while ensuring compliance with geofence validation mechanisms.

Key Capabilities:

  1. Geofence Failure Reasons Category Master: Integrating both pickup and delivery geofence failure reasons under a unified category master will enable a standardized approach to handling breaches. This master list will contain predefined failure reasons applicable to both scenarios, preventing riders from bypassing the system by using the "SKIP" button.

  2. Mandatory Geofence Compliance for All Tasks: Both deliveries and pickups will now require mandatory reason selection when a geofence breach occurs. Instead of allowing riders to skip reporting, the system will enforce the selection of a valid reason from the geofence failure reasons category master.

  3. Consistent Data for Analysis: This approach will ensure that geofence breach data is consistently captured for both deliveries and pickups, improving the accuracy and robustness of data analysis. The gathered data will offer detailed insights into breach patterns and provide opportunities to refine operational strategies.

Benefits for Clients:

  • Improved Data Integrity: By unifying geofence failure reasons and enforcing compliance, data related to delivery and pickup breaches will be more accurate, supporting better decision-making and operational improvements.

  • Enhanced Reporting: Consistent breach reporting across pickups and deliveries will facilitate more reliable reporting, providing deeper insights into breach percentages, rider behaviour, and areas for improvement.

  • Operational Efficiency: By reducing the misuse of the "SKIP" button, this system ensures that valid breach reasons are captured, promoting transparency and enabling targeted improvements in the delivery process.
